How To Add An "Ad Hoc" Cost Field (Not In Template) To Estimate
Video Tutorial
To add an "ad hoc" cost field to an estimate which has been generated follow these steps.
1. Navigate to the desired estimate.
2. Once inside the estimate, navigate to the desired "Cost Category" in which this "ad hoc" cost field will be added.
3. Navigate to the "Actions" column on the far right and click the "3 Dot" button for the "Cost Category".
4. Select the "Add Cost Field" option.
5. Type in a "Code", "Name" & assign a "UOM" from the dropdown. You can also add optional "Notes" for this cost field.
6. Press the "Save" button.
Please note that these "ad hoc" cost fields should only be added to capture unique and/or "one off" cases. If it is a cost code which will be regularly used, it is best practice to add said cost field to the "template".
