How To Create A "Bid Package" In Your Estimate(s)

Video Tutorial

To create a "Bid Package" in your estimate(s) follow these steps.

1. Navigate to the desired estimate.

2. Once inside the estimate, select the estimate "Bid Packages" button. NOTE, this button will only be visible if your subscription plan includes this feature.

3. Click the yellow "Add Bid Package" button located near the upper right corner.

4. Type in a "code", "label" & optional "description" for the bid package you are creating. Ie. Code "03000", label "Concrete" & optional description "Bid package that compiles all structural and non-structural concrete cost fields".

5. Press the yellow "Save" button once you are done configuring your bid package.

6. Once created, you have the option to add "Cost Fields", "Inclusions", "Exclusions" & "Bids" when you click the yellow "Add" button located near the upper right corner of each bid package.

7. You can also add "Cost Fields" to your bid package(s) by going into the "Detailed Budget" tab and adding via the "Bid Package" column. Make sure this column is visible by pressing the "Columns" button located near the upper right corner and ensure the "bid package" box is checked.

8. Once visible, select the desired "Bid Package" from the dropdown.

9. You have the ability to assign "Bid Packages" for cost fields only.

Please note that we highly recommend creating your bid packages in the template(s). This will allow you to use these "templatized" bid packages for future estimates without the need of having to create bid packages for specific estimates.
