# How To Enter Or Update Cost Data For An Estimate Project Record

To enter or update cost data for an estimate project record follow these steps.

1\. Select desired project from the **Project Database** page.

2\. Select the desired estimate project record. Estimate project records are identified with an "**E**" on the left.

3\. Press the "**View Estimate**" button located on the upper right corner.

4\. Select the "**Detailed Budget**" tab within the estimate.

4\. Select the desired cost data category and applicable cost data field. You also have the option to search for the cost field using the search box.

5\. Once the applicable cost data field has been identified, modify it as desired.

6\. There is no save button, data is automatically saved.
