# How To Export Your GCs/GRs

Your general conditions and general requirements can be taken out of Zebel in two ways: as a CSV for working on in a spreadsheet, or as an estimate report for sending to somebody. Both are on the same "Export" menu.

To export your GCs/GRs follow these steps.

Navigate to the desired estimate and select the "GCs/GRs" tab.

Press the "Export" button above the table.

Select the export you want.

Select "Export to CSV" to download a spreadsheet immediately. The file is named after your general conditions, so "General Conditions" downloads as General Conditions.csv.

The CSV holds everything the tab shows, laid out the same way:

A "Milestone" section with a column per month, marking where each milestone starts, runs and ends.

An "Item" table with "$/Mo", "Burden" and "Total" for each item, and its allocation across the months as percentages.

A "Monthly Cash Flow" row totaling the spend in each month.

Select "Export to Report" instead to build an estimate report from your GCs/GRs. Give the report a name and press "Generate", and it opens in the report editor with a "GCs/GRs" block already in it — ready to style, add to, and send out.

NOTE, "Export to Report" creates a saved report on the estimate rather than a file. It appears on the "Report" tab and you can return to it, change it and export it again. "Export to CSV" is a one-off download.

NOTE, "Export to Report" is available to editors only, because it creates something. A viewer sees "Export to CSV" on its own.

NOTE, the CSV follows the currency you are viewing the estimate in, so switch currency before exporting if you need the figures in another one.

We recommend the CSV when the numbers are going to be worked on, and the report when they are going to be read. A spreadsheet of monthly allocations is hard to hand to an owner; the report block draws the same data as a schedule with a cash flow beneath it.
