How To Set A "Unit Cost Formula"
To set a "Unit Cost Formula" for either "Cost Field" level estimating AND/OR "Detail Row" level estimating in your template(s) follow these steps.
1. Navigate to global "Settings" button located at the horizontal top menu options.
2. Once in settings, navigate to the "Configuration" section located on the left vertical menu.
3. Select "Record Templates".
4. Select the template which you wish to modify.
5. Select the "WBS" tab.
6. Navigate to the "Actions" column which is located to the far right.
7. Click the "3 Dot" button for the desired "Cost Field" or "Detail Row".
8. Select the "Edit Unit Cost Formula" option.
9. Enter the desired formula. Formula can be as simple as a numerical value or a unit cost formula that's part of your "Input" panel.
Please note that the formulas could be simple values such as " = 20 " or reference an object that's part of your "Input" panel. For example, a design data field such as "Concrete Slab $/SF" could be generated, added to the "Input" panel and the corresponding value can be linked to this "Concrete Slab $/SF".
