How To Set Default "Unit Mix Plugin Variants" In Your Template

To set default "unit mix plugin variants" in your template(s) follow these steps.

1. Navigate to global "Settings" button located at the horizontal top menu options.

2. Once in settings, navigate to the "Configuration" section located on the left vertical menu.

3. Select "Record Templates".

4. Select the template which you wish to modify.

5. Select the "Programming" tab.

6. Navigate to the unit type group for which you wish to set default variants and expand the group. Ie. "studio units", "1 bedroom units", etc.

7. Click the "3 Dot" button for the desired unit type group located to the right of the group header.

8. Select the "Edit Unit Mix Variants" option.

9. Enter the desired "label", "total", "NRSF", "full baths", "half baths" & "waste outlets" for each variant. You can add more variants by pressing the "Add More" button located to the right of each variant block. Once you are done entering the values for the aforementioned parameters press the yellow "Save" button located on the lower right corner of the pop up.

10. Repeat steps 6 - 9 if you wish to set default variants for other unit type groups.

Please note that the fields for each unit type variant may vary slightly depending on the way in which your template was set up. Most multifamily templates follow the convention "label", "total", "NRSF", "full baths", "half baths" & "waste outlets" for each variant. Setting default variants in your template saves time and allows you to program these default values for each unit variant in lieu of having to do it each time for each new estimate created.
