The "Cost Estimate" block in a report can show your direct costs, your indirect costs, or both. Turning one off removes that whole part of the table — its rows and its total — which is how you produce a report that speaks only to the trade costs, or only to the indirects, without building a second estimate.
To show or hide direct and indirect costs follow these steps.
Navigate to the desired estimate and select the "Report" tab, then open the report you want to edit.
Press the "Cost Estimate" block in the "Report Structure" panel on the right.
Open the "STRUCTURE" section of the block's settings. "Show Direct Costs" and "Show Indirect Costs" are the last two switches, beneath "Depth Level", "Indent by hierarchy" and "Hide zero dollar rows".
NOTE, both are on when a block is created, so a new "Cost Estimate" block shows the whole estimate.
Switch off "Show Indirect Costs" to leave only the direct costs. The "Total Indirect Costs" row and every indirect line beneath it are removed from the table.

Switch off "Show Direct Costs" to do the reverse and leave only the indirect costs.
The preview updates as soon as you press the switch, so you can check the result before leaving the block.
NOTE, "Show Indirect Costs" does not appear at all when the estimate's template has "Hide Indirect Costs" turned on. In that case the estimate has no indirect costs to show, so the switch is not offered — change the setting on the record template if you need it back. The switch is always available on a template's own report.
NOTE, hiding a section changes only this block. The estimate keeps its costs, and another block in the same report can still show them.
We recommend leaving both on unless the report has a specific audience in mind. A cost report that silently omits indirect costs reads as a complete number to anyone who was not told, and the totals will not agree with the estimate they came from.
